Why "know Surrender" it is taken from a pamphlet I was given some years back and is a play on words. "No Surrender" is of course a well know phrase but to "know Surrender" that is to surrender your self to the Lord Jesus, the Christ is more than a well known phrase. It is the key to eternal life.
Know Surrender
The Church in Pergamum: A Call to Not Compromise
A discussion based on a YouTube video transcript, offers a theological discourse focusing on the Book of Revelation's message to the Church of Pergamum. It explores the historical and spiritual context of this ancient city, highlighting its pervasive paganism and emperor worship as a source of temptation and persecution for early Christians. The speaker emphasises the power and unchanging nature of God's Word, characterising it as a "sharp two-edged sword" that discerns truth from error and exposes sin. Furthermore, the discussion addresses the dangers of spiritual compromise, particularly through false teachings like those of Balaam and the Nicolaitans, which encouraged idolatry and immorality. Ultimately, the text underscores the importance of unwavering faith and repentance in the face of societal evils and spiritual seduction, urging believers to remain faithful witnesses and avoid adopting worldly practices.
